Pain

Pain is essential to the human experience. Yet we as humans find it in our nature to try and suppress pain and suffering, to where we completely ignore it. Yet we can never fully ignore can we. As much as we suppress, we will experience little reminders in our lives which tell us that we never disposed of it completely.

This occurs pretty often in the church. There is this invisible rule in invisible book of Christianity which seems to say that we should always feel happy, and if we do not, then we should at least have the appearance of happiness. This is absurd. If that is the chief end of Christianity, then we the bride, are going to destroy our selves from within.

In the book Crime and Punishment, a character, Sonya, tells the main protagonist who is guilty of commiting a murder, to "Accept suffering and redeem yourself." It seems to be commonly understood through modern psychology and in Scripture, that in order for one to experience true redemption, he must first acknowledge and face his pain. Sorrow is not to be rejected, but embraced, as Jesus did before and during His partaking of the cup, offered to Him by the Father.

Pain will remain to be a very important element in my writings. Not as something to run away from, but as something to embrace. It seems to me that recognizing one's pain is a turning point, a chance at redemption. I feel like it would be a bigger crime to exclude it in my writings.

Speaking of which, look out for stories, I will post many of them on here.

Look for them!

thank you
